Chi Hack Night is a free, weekly event in Chicago to build, share and learn about tools to create, support, and serve the public good. They are a group of thousands of designers, academic researchers, data journalists, activists, policy wonks, web developers and curious citizens who want to make our city more just, equitable, transparent and delightful to live in through data, design and technology. Iskali aspires to create the next generation of Spirit filled transformative leaders. The name “Iskali” is a word that comes from the Náhuatl (Aztec) language, which translates to resurgence or to begin again. With this name they want to capture the essence of their mission to renew the spirit of young people, as well as a way to evoke pride in the rich cultural heritage of Mexican-Americans, and others.
